Reflection of Heaven

Revelation 7:9
"After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb.”

In Revelation 7, John tells us of a great multitude of people from every tongue, tribe, people, and nation, wearing white robes and worshiping the Lamb of God. This innumerable group came out of the great tribulation and had their tears dried by God Himself.
What an amazing picture of heaven! People from every nation, speakers of every language, skin of every color, all wearing one uniform and singing one song, united in one purpose: to praise and worship the One who saved them, fed them, sheltered them, and gave them living water so they would never thirst again. Can you see it? Can you imagine it? Can you envision the gleaming white robes? Can you hear the thunderous, beautiful voices singing praises to our God and to the Lamb?  I am overcome by this imagery!
At chapel on Wednesdays at Christ Classical Academy of Charlotte, I often look around Eastgate Church’s sanctuary and see a reflection of this heaven. I see children from varied backgrounds, who speak different languages, possess diverse learning styles, embody different skin tones, and come from numerous nations, all wearing their CCAC chapel uniforms and singing one song in praise to the Lord. WOW! Can you see it? Can you hear it? Can you feel the power of the moment?  Once again, I am overcome!
I’d like to invite you, our CCAC parents, into this reflection of heaven with us on Wednesday mornings at 10:10 a.m. Come join in the singing. Come learn about, worship, and praise the Lord with us. Listen to Dr. Ballard teach. Watch the upper elementary students lead in worship. I can’t promise you’ll see a vision like John the Revelator, but I can promise, when you see a reflection of heaven in the faces of our students and hear the joyful noise they make to the Lord, you won’t regret it.

My Story at CCAC

By Olivia Napolitano

When I reflect on my journey at Christ Classical Academy, it’s clear that this is more than just a school—it’s a place of growth, inspiration, and community. My role here has been one of the greatest privileges of my life, allowing me to live out my calling in education while being part of a mission that shapes the hearts and minds of students for God’s glory.
I joined Christ Classical Academy as a brand new First Grade teacher, excited about the opportunity to contribute to a classical Christian education model. From the very beginning, I was drawn to the school’s mission of nurturing students not just academically, but spiritually and emotionally. I grew up attending a very small, classical school myself and truly believe in this education model. I loved the idea of being a small part of helping to teach students to love learning and HOW to think not just WHAT to think. I’ve always believed that true education goes beyond textbooks and test scores; it’s about shaping individuals who love Jesus with their hearts and minds and who reflect His image in all they do.
Now in my current role here at CCAC, I still get the opportunity to teach and grow professionally, AND support teachers and develop curriculum. Whether it’s encouraging teachers as they prepare lessons that weave biblical truth into every subject, supporting students as they grow into lifelong learners, or connecting with parents who share the same vision for their children’s education, I am constantly reminded of the purpose behind what we do.
Some of the most fulfilling aspects of my role is seeing how God works through this school. I’ve watched students discover their God-given talents—whether on stage in a spring musical, leading a team project, or simply asking profound questions in class. Many times with my First Graders they helped me see God through a whole different lens. I’ve seen teachers step into their calling, bringing creativity and passion to the classroom while modeling faith and integrity for their students.
One of my favorite memories with curriculum, is working with Jill Giesen, our 2nd Grade teacher last year. We LOVED digging into the curriculum and coming up with new ways to bring it to life and add our own flavor and twists to fit our students. This is what I love about being a part of CCAC. We support teacher creativity and look to make our curriculum fit every student's needs. Another highlight of my time here at CCAC each year is watching our students take the stage for our annual spring musical. There’s something magical about seeing them step into roles that require courage, creativity, and teamwork.
Looking ahead, my hope and prayer for Christ Classical Academy is that we continue to foster an environment where students flourish as individuals made in God’s image. I pray they leave these walls confident in their faith, and deeply knowing they are loved and supported by the community here at CCAC. This is more than just my story; it’s a shared story of a community united by a greater purpose. Whether you’re a parent, student, teacher, or supporter of Christ Classical Academy, know that your role here matters deeply. Together, we are part of something eternal, something that goes beyond this moment in time.
