My Story at CCAC

January 29, 2025
By Olivia Napolitano

When I reflect on my journey at Christ Classical Academy, it’s clear that this is more than just a school—it’s a place of growth, inspiration, and community. My role here has been one of the greatest privileges of my life, allowing me to live out my calling in education while being part of a mission that shapes the hearts and minds of students for God’s glory.
I joined Christ Classical Academy as a brand new First Grade teacher, excited about the opportunity to contribute to a classical Christian education model. From the very beginning, I was drawn to the school’s mission of nurturing students not just academically, but spiritually and emotionally. I grew up attending a very small, classical school myself and truly believe in this education model. I loved the idea of being a small part of helping to teach students to love learning and HOW to think not just WHAT to think. I’ve always believed that true education goes beyond textbooks and test scores; it’s about shaping individuals who love Jesus with their hearts and minds and who reflect His image in all they do.
Now in my current role here at CCAC, I still get the opportunity to teach and grow professionally, AND support teachers and develop curriculum. Whether it’s encouraging teachers as they prepare lessons that weave biblical truth into every subject, supporting students as they grow into lifelong learners, or connecting with parents who share the same vision for their children’s education, I am constantly reminded of the purpose behind what we do.
Some of the most fulfilling aspects of my role is seeing how God works through this school. I’ve watched students discover their God-given talents—whether on stage in a spring musical, leading a team project, or simply asking profound questions in class. Many times with my First Graders they helped me see God through a whole different lens. I’ve seen teachers step into their calling, bringing creativity and passion to the classroom while modeling faith and integrity for their students.
One of my favorite memories with curriculum, is working with Jill Giesen, our 2nd Grade teacher last year. We LOVED digging into the curriculum and coming up with new ways to bring it to life and add our own flavor and twists to fit our students. This is what I love about being a part of CCAC. We support teacher creativity and look to make our curriculum fit every student's needs. Another highlight of my time here at CCAC each year is watching our students take the stage for our annual spring musical. There’s something magical about seeing them step into roles that require courage, creativity, and teamwork.
Looking ahead, my hope and prayer for Christ Classical Academy is that we continue to foster an environment where students flourish as individuals made in God’s image. I pray they leave these walls confident in their faith, and deeply knowing they are loved and supported by the community here at CCAC. This is more than just my story; it’s a shared story of a community united by a greater purpose. Whether you’re a parent, student, teacher, or supporter of Christ Classical Academy, know that your role here matters deeply. Together, we are part of something eternal, something that goes beyond this moment in time.
